Like Jazz: A Visual Perspective

Art exhibit in the lobby of the Victoria Theater,  New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) curated by renowned artist Gladys B. Grauer, and including work by Ms. Grauer, Cathleen McCoy Bristol, Eleta J. Caldwell, Evelyn Graves, Donna Conklin King, Yvette Lucas, Vivian Mc Duffie, Nettie Thomas, Toni Thomas, Bisa Wendy Washington, Florence Weisz, Adrienne Wheeler, Colleen Gutwein. The exhibit will be on display until March 30th.

The opening reception will be on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 in the lobby of NJPAC’s Victoria Theater, and will include the “Women Speak: Art and Jazz at Newark 350” panel discussion.  Moderated by Newark Celebration 350’s Executive Director Dr. John Johnson, the discussion will include esteemed panelists  Iqua Colson, Gladys B. Grauer, Colleen Gutwein, Dorthaan Kirk and Adrienne Wheeler. Special tribute will be paid to journalist and historian Barbara Kukla at the reception. This event is free and open to the public.
