Queen of Swing

Join Norma Miller, who at 97 years of age is the last of the original Lindy Hoppers, on Nov. 9th at 6:00pm at WBGO studio, 54 Park Place, Newark, NJ for a free screening of “Queen of Swing,” the documentary about her life. At a time of civil strife in America, the birth of jazz music and new black dance forms played an important role in breaking down the barriers to racial equality. Norma Miller was at the center of that cultural revolution. She never looked back from her start at the famed Savoy Ballroom in 1932, and has danced her way into the hearts and minds of a world wide audience. This magnificent film screening is in conjunction with the TJ Moody Jazz Festival!
